Here is the mighty Garth!! He is being offered for your consideration on our private Online Auction site at www.buckeyeacrefarm.com Garth is a 4 year old Percheron cross that stands 18 hands tall. He is a very sweet and willing horse that will put his all into what ever you ask him to do. He has three easy to ride gaits and will ride in western tack or english as well. He has willingly went over a few jumps and loves to go out on the trail. He does not have any issues going out alone and has a brave mind even for the most timid rider. He has been on miles and miles of trails and will go through water, over bridges and is quiet in all kinds of different traffic. He loves attention and will come running when you call him in from the pasture. He has been kept in the field and in a stall and does great either way with no bad habits. He gets along well with other horses and does not boss others around. He is wearing shoes all around and does great for the farrier. He will pick up his feet for you and let you do what you need to do with no fuss. Garth is also well trained to drive and will trot nicely down the road with a calm and easy gait. He stands well when you ask him to stop and does not mind big trucks or heavy traffic at all. He has been around a lot of different farm animals and has seen things out on the trail as well. He does not get upset when he sees new things or when you take him to new places. He will stand by any object for you to get on him, and you can mount from either side. He will also lay down if that is easier for you to mount him. Garth knows his leads and has a very comfortable rocking horse canter that is a lot of fun to ride through the fields. He can lead your group or follow or find his place somewhere in the middle as he does not mind where he is in the line up. If you want to ride away from the group, he will go without an issue.
