Hello, and welcome to Buckeye Acre Farm in Millersburg, Ohio, where what matters to you matters to us.

My name is Duane Yoder, and my journey in the horse industry began in 1995 when I purchased my very first pony. I spent an entire year training, riding, and teaching him fun tricks like laying down, sitting, and bowing. When I sold him later that year, the feeling of providing someone with a well-trained, well-behaved pony was so rewarding that I knew I wanted to continue sharing that passion with others.

In 2007, I married my wonderful wife, Miriam, and together we have been blessed with seven incredible children—three daughters and five sons—who are actively involved in the day-to-day operation of our farm.

What started as one man, one pony, and a dream has grown into Buckeye Acre Farm—a family-operated business with 14 dedicated team members, all working toward the same goal of providing safe, honest, family, trail, and versatile horses. The opportunity to share our horsemanship with others has been incredibly rewarding. Along the way, we have also been blessed to learn from professional horsemen and knowledgeable friends who have generously shared their years of experience with us.

Over the years, our program has continued to grow and evolve as we strive to produce quality horses that we are proud to stand behind. Every horse begins with a careful evaluation before purchase. We specialize in Quarter Horses, Draft Crosses, Gypsy Vanners, and Gypsy Crosses, selecting horses with the disposition, ability, and potential to become outstanding partners for their future families.

Once selected, each horse enters our Buckeye Training Program. We begin with groundwork to build trust and establish a solid foundation before progressing under saddle. Throughout their training, our horses are exposed to as many real-world experiences as possible, including creeks, hills, logs, bridges, traffic, dogs, cattle, tarps, jugs, whips, trailers, new locations, indoor and outdoor arenas, and countless trail miles.

Our goal is to provide safe, honest, family, trail, and versatile horses that our customers can enjoy with confidence for years to come. We strive to produce horses that are willing, dependable, and prepared for whatever adventure lies ahead—whether that’s trail riding, ranch work, showing, driving, or simply being a trusted partner for the entire family.

As part of our program, we also give each horse a break for up to one month. This allows us to evaluate how well their training has truly stayed with them. If they return with the same willing attitude and level of training they had before their time off, we know they are ready to continue through the remainder of the program and become a finished Buckeye Acre Farm horse. Many also learn fun crowd-pleasing tricks that showcase their willingness, intelligence, and versatility.

We believe in complete honesty and transparency throughout the buying process. That’s why we offer Full Disclosure Videos that accurately represent each horse exactly as they are—no AI enhancements or misleading edits, just the horse you will meet in person. We also welcome pre-purchase exams if a buyer chooses to have one performed because we want every customer to purchase with confidence.
