Cash is truly a one-of-a-kind gelding that is sure to turn heads wherever he goes. Standing 14.3 hands tall, this 2021 Friesian/Appaloosa cross gelding is as eye-catching as they come. From his striking black coat to his unique Appaloosa blanket over his hindquarters, he has the kind of presence that gets noticed whether you’re in the pasture, on the trail, or entering the show ring. Add in his kind, willing personality, and you have a horse that’s just as special on the inside as he is on the outside. Cash was born and raised with our trainer, Eric, here at Buckeye Acre Farm. Eric has owned, trained, and developed him from the very beginning, and Cash has been his main riding horse throughout his life. The trust and partnership they have built over the years are evident in everything Cash does. He is the definition of versatility. Cash rides Western, English, and bareback, and he also drives, making him just as enjoyable for a weekend carriage drive as he is for a day on the trails. He has been ridden extensively in both our indoor and outdoor arenas and has traveled countless miles through the woods, across open fields, over logs, through creeks, and on state roads in traffic. He has also competed at a local trail obstacle competition and takes every new experience with confidence and a willing attitude. Cash has exceptionally smooth, balanced gaits with a walk, trot, and canter that are comfortable enough to enjoy all day long. He knows his leads and carries himself with natural balance and rhythm. With his athletic ability, willing mind, and eye-catching movement, we believe Cash has the talent to excel in the English or hunter/jumper world. Whether your goals include flat work, hunter classes, equitation, or simply enjoying a beautiful horse with the ability to go in any direction, Cash has the talent and disposition to do it. One of Cash’s greatest qualities is his kind, forgiving nature. He is safe and enjoyable for riders of all experience levels, from children, beginners, and seniors to more advanced riders. He rides well alone or in a group and is content leading, following, or riding in the middle. Around the barn, Cash is a true gentleman. He is easy to catch, often one of the first to meet you at the gate and gets along well whether turned out alone or with other horses. He stands quietly for grooming, saddling, bathing, and the farrier. He is also confident around tarps, jugs, and whips, adding even more to his dependable, well-rounded nature. Cash is current on his vaccinations, deworming, and dental care and is ready for his next adventure.
