If you have been searching for that flashy Paint gelding that is just as good-minded as he is good-looking, Haydon may be the one you have been waiting for. From his eye-catching brown and white color and bright, kind eye to his calm, relaxed mindset, Haydon is the kind that catches your attention—and keeps it once you ride him. Trail ride him in the morning, let the grandkids enjoy him in the afternoon, and hook him to the cart that evening. He is a true step-up babysitter with the mind, training, and versatility to be enjoyed by everyone from beginners and seniors to advanced riders. Haydon is a 2022 model, 14.2-hand Gypsy Pony Cross Paint gelding with a personality that wants to please. One of the things we really appreciate about Haydon is that he does not need to be kept in a steady riding program to stay the same. Ride him regularly, once a week, or give him some time off, and he will step back out with that same calm, willing mindset. He absolutely loves people and attention and is usually the first one to meet you at the gate, ready to see what you have planned for the day. Haydon has outstanding smooth gaits at the walk, trot, and canter that you can comfortably sit all day—and be ready to do it again the next day. He knows his leads, neck reins nicely, can be ridden one-handed, and will side pass for you. Ride him Western, English, or bareback; he does not mind. Point him where you want to go and enjoy the ride. He has been on miles of trails and has seen about everything there is to see. He will step over logs, travel through creeks and water, cross open fields, and navigate through the woods without missing a beat. Ride him out alone or in a group, and he is happy either way. He has also been ridden on state roads in traffic and down small county roads with trucks passing by, taking it all in stride without batting an eye. Haydon has been ridden in both indoor and outdoor arenas and is good around cows. He is also good with tarps, jugs, and whips. And if riding is not enough, Haydon even drives! Hitch him up for an enjoyable afternoon cart ride with the family or grandkids. He also lays down and sits up. We were fortunate enough to get Haydon from the family that had owned him since he was a yearling, giving him a great foundation and plenty of experience along the way. Around the barn, he is a true gem. Whether he is standing in his stall, being groomed and tacked up, or getting a bath in the wash bay, Haydon is a gentleman to be around. Haydon is the kind that can wear a lot of different hats. His flashy looks may be what first catches your attention, but his smooth ride, people-loving personality, versatility, and exceptional mindset are what will make you fall in love with him. Haydon is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and dental care.
