Almost Soberr

CHOCOLATE CHIP WILL SELL AT THE GREAT AMERICAN AND TRAIL HORSE SALE APRIL 6TH

Wow, what a handsome, thick, well trained, beautiful gelding.  Almost Soberr is a 2017 brown AQHA gelding that stands 15 hands tall.  With a coat as dark and smooth as chocolate, we had to name him Chocolate Chip to go with it.  He is well built, has a beautiful head and a kind gentle eye that looks for you whenever you come out to the barn.  He has been well trained in the western riding for reining.  He will spin, slide stop, lope small and large circles, has a smooth jog and never lifts his head above the horn.  He has been used for pasture roping and will hold a calf for branding no problem.  He has been trailered to a lot of different places all over the country and always comes off the trailer the same horse each time he goes.  He is light in the bridle and responds very well to your seat and leg cues which makes riding him bridleless a breeze.  He loves to learn new things and will happily go down the trail and go wherever you point his head to go.  He crosses creeks and deeper water and will willingly walk over any type of bridge.  He rides down the road in traffic and does not mind if a big truck comes by or that occasional motorcycle or bike.  He is familiar with dogs, chickens, goats, and cows.  He will side pass over to the mounting block for you to get on, or any object for that matter.  We have shot the gun off him and cracked the bull whip, and he stands well for it all.  We have taken him on a lot of trail rides and he has the confidence to lead and will also fall anywhere in the lineup that you choose to ride.  He will ride off the farm alone and not give you any issues and he keeps a steady pace where you do not have to keep pushing him to keep him going.  He loves to work and he loves to please.  He will definitely give you his all in whatever you ask him to do.  He has also been ridden english and will extend the trot and canter to meet that need.  He is wearing shoes all around because of the terrain where we ride for traction.  We have put sliders on him and he does well with those too.  Everything about Chocolate Chip is just sweet.  He gives you a wonderful comfortable ride each time you get him out and it is a gait that is very easy on the back if you are looking for that smooth ride.  He has been kept in a stall and out in the pasture and does not have any bad manners at all.  He stands well in the crossties to groom and tack and does well away when stalled at a different location.  If this is the horse that has caught your eye, please feel free to give Duane Yoder of Buckeye Acre Farm a call  @ 330-231-2324 to hear more about him.
