Rugar and Remington
Take a look at this one-of-a-kind matching, full brother, Friesian cross team. Ruger and Remington are both by of a Friesian Stallion and out of a quarter horse mare. Ruger is a 15.2 hand 5 year old gelding and Remington is a 15.1 hand 6 year old gelding.
This team has been such a blast to own and work with for the last 3 years. They both are very well trained to drive as a team, drive single and they both ride extremely well too. We have been enjoying using them as a roman riding team and look forward to showing off their talent. They know all the tricks, have been through a lot and always make us smile with how much fun they are. We have taken them on numerous trail rides, they have been on countless trips as a team and have never caused us any issues.
They can take a full day’s work and look fabulous doing it. They not only are easy on the eyes to look at, they are also easy to love and handle. They will come right up to you in the pasture and come running when you call. They have always gotten along well with other horses and never were an issue in the stalls either. They will ride out alone and can be also ridden in a group and not have to be right beside each other.
They are safe in traffic and do not get spooked at anything new that they see. They will walk, trot, canter and know their leads well. You can ride them English or western and they are fun to take out bareback and bridleless as well. They have smooth gaits, and easy to sit trots. They have been around farm animals like cows, sheep, dogs, cats, and can come across wildlife on the trail and they never get upset about anything.
They will hop onto any trailer and come off the same each time. They are wearing shoes all around because of where we ride them, and do great for the farrier. They will go through water, cross bridges and are safe and quiet in traffic.
