This boy is has really captured the heart of our one trainer Henry as he has stated that he is one of the most honest and full of heart horses that he has ever sat on. He has taken him to numerous trail rides, moonlight rides with large groups, a ranch hand competition and Russel never gives any issues or fuss. He was born and raised in this area and was ridden a lot by children. You can tell that he really enjoys children because when they are around or on his back, he takes a little more care to what he is doing. Russel has been kept in the barn, out in the pasture and does not have any bad habits anywhere. He will come when you call him in and always meets you at the gate or stall door when you come to get him. He is a horse that does not need to be ridden every day to always remain the same, laid back personality that he is. He has three very smooth, easy to ride gaits and is well trained in the arena and out. He has been ridden English, will pop over a few jumps, and he is a lot of fun and very comfortable to ride bare back with without a bridle. He picks everything up with ease and loves to learn new things. He has been around all different kinds of animals and has seen wildlife on the trail and does not get upset at anything new. He walks right onto any trailer and comes off just as quiet no matter where you want to take him. He is used to gun shots, tarps, balls, and will gladly lay down on command. With his striking buckskin color and black points, you will surly get noticed where ever you go. He has been a horse that we feel confident putting a first time rider on him as we know that he will take care of them. He will go through any type of water from creeks, streams, puddles and deeper rivers. He crosses bridges and is easy to ride in heavy traffic.
